The South Wales Transport Group
About the Group: We are a group of like minded volunteers who wish to preserve our public road transport heritage for future generations to enjoy.
How it all started:In 1997 a group of South Wales bus enthusiasts started a conversation which in turn prompted the idea of the now established working Museum currently called ‘The South Wales Transport Group’ which is now located at AWCO Factory Site, Fabian Way ,Port Tennant, Swansea
Hard graft and effort has paid off by all those involved. All of which have one thing in common: The aim of locating and restoring as many of those ex South Wales vehicles as possible. The group has come a long way but we still have a long way to go.
People must bear in mind that when visiting this museum it is a working museum & that we are a non profit making group
The South Wales Transport Group is open Monday-Friday 8.00-4.00
And all volunteers are there on Sundays 10.00-5.00 |
